§ 20-1513. Accessory utility buildings.

  • Telecommunication equipment accessory to a tower shall be located within a building if such equipment is within 150 feet of the closest point of a residential building. All utility buildings and structures accessory to a tower may not exceed one story in height and 400 square feet in size, and shall be architecturally designed to blend in with the surrounding environment and meet the minimum setback requirements of the underlying zoning district. The use of compatible materials, such as wood, brick or stucco, is required for associated support buildings. Equipment located on the roof of an existing building shall be screened from the public view with building materials identical to or compatible to [with] existing materials. In no case shall wooden fencing be used as a rooftop equipment screen.
